See a mystical glow in the waters of Mosquito Bay on the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico.  Known as a bio bay, short for bioluminescent, Mosquito Bay will amaze you. Tiny organisms burst with blue light when they are agitated, creating a blue glow that is sometimes bright enough to read by.  This is one of the most unique experiences available on our planet. Truly something magical that you would expect to see in a movie like Avatar, not in person. It is highly recommended to check the moon cycles before booking your trip because the effect will be far greater if it’s darker outside..

Soufriere Hills Volcano on the island of Montserrat is an active volcano. Bubbling mud caldrons form where the earth has cracked open from the pressure. The volcano smokes almost constantly.  In 1995, Soufriere exploded, burying Plymouth, the capital. Today it remains a ghostly shell of a once-vibrant city.
