You may have seen pictures of this surreal multicolored river already on the internet and yes, it actually exists. Caño Cristales, like all places, requires effort to arrive at the mystical location but once you’ve arrived, you won’t regret it for a second.
4) Patagonia, Argentina/Chile
Head to the end of the world by exploring the remote region of Patagonia. This is the place to go for a real adventure. Patagonia is a land of extremes, of incredible glaciers, barren landscapes and scenery that you won’t see elsewhere.
3) Iguazu Falls, Argentina/Brazil
In the immortal words of Eleanor Roosevelt, “Poor Niagara!” as when you see Iguazu Falls, you’ll realize why its North American counterpart pales in comparison. Go to the Brazilian side first to see the Falls from afar and then head to the Argentinian side where you’ll get so close to the Falls, you feel the spray hit your skin.

If you want to party, Rio de Janeiro is the place. The cidade maravilhosa is best enjoyed at New Year for its celebration on the beach Reveillon or of course, Carnaval. But fear not, even outside these celebratory times, Rio is a magical city and as soon as you arrive, you’ll fall under its unbreakable charm.
